The Big Erection On A Sunday...
I spent my Sunday assembling this beast. It went well, considering the instructions say "you'll need two people to lift the frame while a third person attaches the legs..."
I WAS that Three people.
Everything went smoothly (because I ALWAYS READ DIRECTIONS cough cough...) and as I type this, my poor little well pump motor is churning away...
8 inches... 9 inches...
Our well water comes out of our deep well at about 44 degrees. Great for drinking but not for swimming. It'll be a few days with some plumbing and things still to be done before I'll be floating face up in the Oregon summertime sunshine...
And Mum is happy...

A pool is a wonderful idea but over here I'd want it to be heated. I'll settle for a hammock instead.
That really IS a big pool. You and your Mum have plenty of room to enjoy it together. Now you just have to manage to get her in and out of it. You are such a good son.
By the way, you are right about that wild iris. I've never seen or heard of a yellow one so, as you said, it is a rare sighting.

Two happiest days of my life were selling my boat and selling the house with the pool. Ah...such freedom. Enjoy!
