Spam Warning.

If you get an email claiming to be from the Department of Health warning you not to open or eat tinned pork products because of the swine flu, don't be fooled. It's just SPAM.

Silliness. The sad thing is that some people are worried that they will catch flu from eating pork. I mean it; they think that's how you can catch the flu. Hmmm, what's so difficult to understand about an airborne virus that is generally at home in piggies but which can sometimes cross over to humans? Do they eat their pork raw despite all the warnings about cooking pork and other trichinosis prone meats until well done? (But I bet they don't give up bacon, because half the people you talk to don't know bacon is pork!)

Okay, so I'm a bit strange because I really like Spam. I was born just before the start of WWII and while growing up there were times that Spam was the only meat we could afford or that was available. Unfortunately I can't have it very often because my husband hates it. Usually he has pretty good taste so I can't understand this at all. Ha!
