Hospitals And Shiny New Toys--

I told Mum that she looks like she just got home from rave-hopping with all of those arm bands (and red-lining some X with her very own IV port!)

She was moved by my comments.

Well, no. But she was moved yesterday to a rehab hospital...

I call it her "bootcamp" but they don't yell much and the food is better. She is on the sixth floor (which is way up there in this part of the world) with a great view and lots of cool staff around her. I called in to check on her and she was in the weight room, pumping iron, so she couldn't come to the phone.

The only bad news is that the place is an hour and a half away from here. I was making two visits a day, and now it will only be one.

I brought my bike home yeserday and my ass is already sore. YOU put 280 pounds onto that LITTLE SEAT and see what kind of faces you make!

Wenzel and Rosalynn (Mum's dog) are quite surprised by how much faster I am walking now, and have to run like dogs to keep up. Imagine, wheels and gears... what a way to wear out your pups...

THANK YOU to all who left good wishes and thoughts for Mum (I call her Mum because I call her Momma in real life, and that seems so infantile when you write it, so I don't...)

We're all still rolling along 'round here, as well as we might...

Hope mum has a nice drill instructor in boot camp.

I already knew you called her Mamma and I NEVER thought it was infantile. And you spell Mum properly!

You did good Scotty! You saved her because you knew what to do. I'm extremely proud of you (in a very non-patronising way).

Also, I'm back. In case you were wondering.

Tell "Momma" that we want her to get better. Maybe you should get one of these...
