Medical Marijuana, Montel, And My Sister's Chemo...

The federal government would arrest my sister if it weren't so busy reading your emails and listening to your phones.

Her crime would be to consume a medicine that can be grown and not purchased.

It is time for those who think the federal government has these rights to go back to basics.

I like that medicine, but I'm sorry for the reason why she needs to use it. How is she doing?

travistee-- From what I gather, she is going through chemo and doing due diligence. She is "as well as can be expected" when it comes to chemo...

Thanks for asking.

I watched an interesting series, some months ago, about drugs in the US. One thing (one of many) that jumped out at me was the fact that the Congress never passed a law banning the use of marijuana...because many legal scholars felt that it could never stand up against a Constitutional challenge. Instead, Congress passed a law allowing the FDA to regulate drugs, given that the regulatory process is much harder to contest...

There was a time when, we the people, held fiercely to our rights...

I'm really sorry to hear about your sister.

I do think that the stance our governments take on "drugs" is completely nonsensical. My son's fiancée suffers from fybromyalgia and the only relief she can get from pain is from illegal medication.

I've seen her without the medication and she is slow and sluggish and moves only when she has to. With the medication she is lively and active and recently cleaned out our greenhouse so we could use it to sit in. It is such a different response from that of recreational users.

She has the choice of being in pain and housebound or breaking the law. I wish our governments would see sense.
