An Ornithological Lesson

It took me a long time to identify where the urge came from. It was an itchy feeling- with some elements of being spurred and some elements of having a thorn in one’s backside. It was a colorful feeling- all dressed up in uncertainty and doubt and hopefulness and wistful imaginings.

Yes. It took me a long time to find the little bugger that made me sleep in ditches and helped me sleep in Hong Kong high rise hotels; that put me in the outback on a bicycle and sat me down in airports just to watch people flurry.

Whether Mexican buses or Balinese beaches, the impetus was always the same. It was this creepy crawly sort of itchy need to get up and move.

It was this little guy.

Ever seen one? The Travel Bug. He gets around.

Eeeewww bugs gross!!

Just kidding. He's a colorful little feller.

Wish I could hop on his back and let him travel me around.

Still private--you must have just still been signed in.
