Catching Up On The News And Getting Reaquainted With Good Sports...
My sister is going to be on the local television station tomorrow night. She has a dog (and cat) business called "My Dog Bakery" in Santa Rosa, California. She sells gourmet dog treats and dog specialty items and dog portraits and you can bring your dog in and it's all about dogs so if you love your dog...
{Hi Mom-
I got a call today from a reporter from channel 50 (local station) that does special interest stories every Friday. After visiting my shop this morning he wants to come and film “a piece” about us for tomorrow’s evening news. I will try to get a copy of it if it turns out. Now I have to go and decide what I’m going to wear!!!
Love you,
Sandy}
I wrote her a slogan she's never used--
"Don't furget yer dawg!"
Maybe someday...
I wrote "Just Do It" on T-shirts in 1981 and I should have started selling shoes...
I told my sister she should listen to me. I am on to something...
My Mum is going to leave here at the end of this month and I am ging to drive her halfway to Santa Rosa on highway 5. My brother will come up and meet me and I'll push her out of my truck and into my brother's. It'll be like a grandma relay, with Mum being the baton at a rest stop somewhere she can pee...
She'll spend time with her grandkids (brother's kids) and my sister and her shop. Mum has wanted to see my sister's new business ever since she got sick.
I am officially working "just down the street". The two-story is our only focus. We have an open bid for 100 dollars a square foot so we had a meeting between the boys today to make sure we don't piss a lot of time and money away.
Hippy carpenters can also cost a lot of money in the big bad beautiful world.
I weigh 268 pounds as of this morning. I say this, because I have been talking about dropping twenty pounds for over a year. I bought running shoes last week that I wear around the house. I figured I might actually start running in them since our job is so close to home. The time I would normally spend driving home thinking about a beer, I can spend running around a field and thinking about a beer. Make sense?
It does to me.
I met a quirky guy named Nevin from Indonesia who trades and finagles his way into your heart. He is currently looking for an ISP to call home, and is still trading blog banners for cash and good cheer. I wired him some money via Western Union to help him get hooked up (he lost his job, which was his internet connection-- in Indonesia, private connections are expensive-- and so is trying to get online and do his thing, which is pretty cool.) We worked out a way for people to help him by trading small amounts of cash for his design and computer services. Twenty bucks, say, and you can have a banner and eat it too...
I have him doing something "unique" for me, and I am driving him crazy. Someday it will be unveiled and I will be a new banner boy...
I found an amusing couple of blogs that are worth perusing.

I got critiqued at a blog called "Critique My Blog". He said nice things about me. The trouble is, he says nice things about everybody. Now I know nice things are nice and all, but "critique" doesn't share the same root with "critical" for no apparent reason.
His link is here--http://critiquemyblog.blogspot.com/2006/10/aeleope.html
If I were to critique his critiquing, I would be critical. Happy happy, joy joy is wonderful, but it isn't real.
I am still planning on doing some snow months on a "Scottpalooza" of sorts. As soon as I figuure out what that means, I'll take pictures.
My bud Wizard booked a room on the new and improved Koh Samui for 19 dollars a night. A bar in his room, a swimming pool right on the beach...
He'll have a wonderful vacation.
I told him to bring me some sand.
I had an ear infection that lingered but seems to be gone.
I had a conjoined flu and I got over it.
Fall has arrived like an inlaw and is unpacking outside.
My truck is in need of a transmission overhaul and a Christmas tree incense for the mirror...
I got this googled inquiry directed to me... {"long pee" women "ten minutes"}

Here's my critique of your blog: I read AELEOPE almost every day because I keep waiting for it to get better, but it never does. ;)
It doesn't work. I can't say bad things ... I like your writing style, I like your stories, I like your blog and your dogs.
You're right about the critique site. On my "critique" it said he was amazed that all the blogs he read were good blogs. It could have been anyone's review - even yours ;)
I've put mine in for a couple different reviews - i'll post them if they are actual reviews and not 'good job, keep blogging' fluff pieces.
What is Yankee candle clean cotton?
Talk about being absolutely blank on something... I'll go with it if it is approved by a pretty girl... I'm just that way.
Thanks CC. And my dogs say thanks, too. They are so happy at our new job. Short commute... Three other dogs to play with when they get there... The scent of jack rabbit and deer in the Autumn air...
