Skiing--

I've managed to get up to Mt. Ashland and ski a few times this week. Yesterday was a glorious day with perfect snow and just enough pending weather to keep the crowds away.

Imagine, people-free runs with fresh groomed powder and some very outdated, circa 1982 downhill-racing-slalom-skis strapped to your size thirteen feet...

Heaven and speed.

And the cool thing is, my skiing form is back so I'm not the least bit sore this morning.

Skiing in good form means you're skiing with minimum effort and everything is flowing rythmically down the mountain...

Heaven and speed.

It also means those young bucks with their $800 skiis who are mocking my boards behind my back get to eat my snow-dust, the little bastards!

If New Orleans wasn't playing in the Superbowl on my birthday, I'd prolly go skiing this Sunday as well...

I think I'd rather see the Superbowl. I've never skied using proper equipment and I think it's too late to start now.

We'd look good together out on that slippery stuff as I have a pair of circa 1982 XC planks.

I hope you get to do whatever you like best to celebrate your day.

Happy Birthday, Scott!

I love it when the skiing is going just right.

Happy Birthday.

Did your team win? Happy belated birthday hon, hope it brought all that was good for you. All that exercise and weight loss sure looks to be paying dividends, nice to be reaping the rewards from it, eh?
