There is NO way that's the word "deuce"... Similarly. I hear "living in a swamp" in the Who's "Eminence Front".
It's so easy to find out what they're really saying now.
But back in the day - I couldn't get all the words but I thought it was "dressed up like a douche you know a roamer in the night"
Never understood a single word of the Pearl Jam number - or knew what it was called until now.
Gotta love those songs with garbled lyrics but great melodies.

But I always heard "wrecked up" - I figured he was just slurring the s sound in deuce, though. And runner was always clear to me. But there are other songs I never could quite get.
I never understood why that Douche song always makes close to #1 on Rock charts. I hate it and always will, even if you explain it to me!
