Missile Anus--

* I brought my sister's mountain bike up to Oregon recently, so that I had a spare bike for others to ride. The cables were in need of replacing so I took the bike in to a GP bike shop. The brand name on the bike is "Scott" and the bike mechanic taking my work order was gleefully amused.

"Dude, that is so cool!"

It'll be ready next Monday.

*I also brought Sandy's sit atop plastic kayak up here. Some of you may remember I grew far too large to fit in the Kiwi kayak that belonged to Mum. I was born to paddle a kayak as I am far stronger in the arms and shoulders than I am in my skinny chicken legs. Perhaps I'll cruise the lake looking for my disappearing Otter family...

*Mum is finished with her Medicair-paid Physical Therapy. The PT business is slow these days, so they are opening up their facilities for eight bucks a session unsupervised, meaning if you want to come in and use the equipment without a physical therapist, you can for eight bucks. I'm starting Mum on a swimming pool regimen. Today was supposed to be her first day, but none of her swimsuits fit her anymore. They were all 12's and she needs a 16. I took her with me into GP and she bought a 16, but she also bought a pretty suit in a 14 that I am absolutely sure she cannot wear. Vanity knows no age limits on the female side of the mind...

*Cadbury Creamed Eggs are out there now and out to get me. I bought four today and ate four in an hour when I got home. The sugar rush was so intense I had to go walk it off, and the sugar crash was so severe I took a nap right after I got back. Those eggs are evil. Evil. Evil!

*I bought a second water bottle holder for my bike. I need to carry a spray bottle to deter a couple of country dogs who think bicyclists make for some good sport. I've been asking around, and the general consesus is that lemon juice mixed half and half with water will sting a dog's eyes but not harm them but I'm still open to suggestions. The dogs in question are all unnuetered pitbull crosses with front-yard-junkyard owners and bad tempers to begin with. Honestly,I wish I could just spray the owners...

*I bought a Santa Rosa Plum tree I am going to plant in the yard tomorrow. I have some of Sandy's ashes and I figured a Santa Rosa Plum was a good tree to spread them around. If I had to call somewhere "home", Santa Rosa would qualify over everywhere else. It has grown beyond my liking as a place to live, but all the old landmarks and memories are still there. The fruit of this plum is also quite wonderful, and its purple insides remind me of my sister as well as a wine grape.

*I took Wenzel in for a blood test to check on her health. She appears super healthy and it turns out that she is. Remember, she almost died from an infection called Leptospirosis which triggered an auto-immune reaction which put her on Prednisone for six months. She's been medication free for six months and her blood tests were awesomely normal. I tested her for heart worm too so that I could get her back on heart worm prevention as heart worms are nasty around these parts. She also lost more weight than I did this year even though I exercise more than she does. Bitch.

Ah yes, Scott, she is a bitch. But she is a very beautiful bitch. I assume that lovely close up is her.

It's good to catch up on what you're doing. Watch out for those Creme Eggs though. I'm sure sugar should be classified as a class B drug.

My family loves the Creme eggs but I don't. Way too sweet.

Glad Wenzel's in good form. Nice that your Mum has an inexpensive option to continue therapy too.

I'd welcome any weight loss.

I have never had one of these eggs you speak of. I think it's best if i remain ignorant of their charms.

Some of the folks I used to ride with always joked about carrying some raw pork chops in those back pockets of their jerseys and throwing them out when the dogs came a-runnin. Only thing is, I guess you'd actually be training those dogs to run after you then, wouldn't you?

Hey Scott, wanna date? We could go out for dinner and just dine on Cadbury Creme Eggs... gawd how I love to hate them and hate to love them! I try to avoid them, but the damn things jump into my cart EVERY time I go to the store!

Wenzel is a beauty, glad to hear she's doing so well.
