Another Spring That Needs Oilin'...
Spring is finally persistent enough round here to make the grass grow and the dandelions flower.
That means the old Murray machine we park away all winter gets hooked up to the battery charger and all of its systems gone through.
The final drive of last year ended with a melted voltage regulator, which I replaced a few days ago. All the tires needed air and as they say "upon inspection", it was noted that the rubber on all of the sidewalls is starting to crack.
Oh well, at the speeds at which I operate, I think I can survive a blow out if it happens by holding on to the very handy suicide knob this tractor/mower came with.
These days, with the price of gas the way it is, it takes about 7 bucks and a beer to get the two acres mowed satisfactorily.
All hail riding lawn mowers and beer!

Does it have working headlights? That cracks me up...
Yeehaw! I finally got Bubba to teach me how to drive ours last year so I can enjoy the scent of fresh-mown grass whilst sipping my favorite brew.
***clink*** Here's to spring!
Got my second mowing done yesterday...Took $13 and a pot of coffee....Might soon be cheaper to hire the job out!
{Hey Stucco mine has working headlights!}
I'm not sure I'm envious of the 2 acres, or glad I don't have to cut it even with a riding mower.
Hail! Hail yes!
I always picture you moving speedily.....
