Wenzel Is Home And I Just Spent This Year's Vacation Budget...

Well, Wenzel is home and still sick but doing better.

Auto Immune Hemolitic Anemia...

They still aren't sure what brought it on... maybe the Leptospirosis... maybe not...

She is on Prednisone (they just featured this disease on House last night...) and I'll have to take her in for periodic blood tests...

Well, she was free when I got her...

I'm so glad she's home! We keep a rough running tally of how much a dog/cat has cost us, divide by their weight, and then let them know how much they're worth a pound. Probably a little on the dark side, but it makes us laugh about things that are scary.

That's awesome. I'm so glad she's home and on the mend.

Awh, they're worth it...you can't take it with you anyhow!

My prayers were answered.

You think she's like a pigs ear?

Yay Wenzel!

I know. My free cat cost me around three grand. And I'd spend ten times that to have him back just for a day.

She looks tired. Poor thing.

You're a good 'daddy' Scott...

WOOT!

Well, animals are like kids in that respect. Whoda thunk they would cost that much? And in the end - it doesn't matter.

Money well spent. So glad she's on the mend. I'm willing to bet the entire vet bill she's thrilled to be back at home with you.

Turning the corner with a bit of luck.

I'm so glad she's back home. It sounds like her problem is managable and that once she gets her strength back she'll be as good as new. You are apt to hear a lot about the downside of prednisone but I had a dog on it for ten years and he did just fine. It does tend to give them quite an appetite and they will often eat anything and everything in sight.

Give her a hug from me.
