Satisfaction Not Necessarily Guaranteed

There is no guarantee that what amused you last week will amuse you next week. That much is certain. The flux of life makes it so, and I think that is a good thing.

Some people spend their lives like this picture, precariously balanced and not quite attaining the satisfaction promised them by their own desires.

(Heck, I'd be happy if I could only assume this position...)

Anyway, I've noticed that my blog links are woefully outdated and that my blogging and internet carousing has felt limited and uninspired, and I thought it time to ask those of you still stopping by what your favorite links and newfound interests are?

Where do you go, when you are not here? Who has got the energy and time to produce the stuff that you find worthy of your time?

Is there a cyberworld out there, after all?

Hello?

Hello?

I have been finding the same thing happening to me. I think it must be contagious. A lot of my links no longer post I think. I find I skip a number of links on my feed and have started deleting some - I still have my gaggle of favourites - yours being one - that tend to be my original "relationships". I find I am spending less time on the internet than I used to. I rarely visit facebook or youtube. Occasionally I will look up a recipe or some other tidbit of info that seems important at the time. I can't say I have any important new discoveries.

Pack some snacks and go on a sojourn. Start by clicking on your sidebar. Then you have to click on a link on that person's sidebar that you've never been to before. Then you have to click on a link on that person's sidebar that you've never been to before, and so on and so on.....

Call me nostalgic but I like blogs similar to mine...where you can read about people's past lives and where they use old photos to illustrate and document their existence.

However, sometimes (and I'm guilty too) they get too long winded and I become bored.

You often have posts like that and I enjoy reading them and that's why I keep coming back. Plus, you argue with me and give me a different perspective that I appreciate and respect.

Some of my favorite reads are:

http://creekjournal.blogspot.com/

If you check them out you will see that follow a theme I've described.

Lol, I too, have links to nowhere. And yes, you are right ... what was amusing isn't always amusing the next day.
I would much rather troll around bloggerville than do what I do anymore...which is work, work, work.
No fun! I miss my days of hiking, canoeing and blogging!
