Remembering Mum's In All Their Girly Glory-- Happy Mother's Day

I picked up a new scanner while down in Santa Rosa, and now nobody is safe...

This photo has been tucked inside one of Mum's nursing books for as long as I can remember. I snuck it out, scanned it, and now I have to sneak it back.

Aorta is the page I found it on...

I am betting Mum did that on purpose (the aorta leads to the heart...?)

If you've given birth then please eat chocolates and accept back rubs and get a foot massage, damn it!

Happy Mother's Day --

What a fun picture of your Mom.

Since I've given birth, I got chocolate covered strawberries for tomorrow for a little picnic with my babies.

Nice of you, Scott. Thanks for reminding me about the 911 call. I added it to the post.

Thank you, Scott. I'll have breakfast out with two of my babies. The rest of them live too far away to join the celebration. Then for dinner this evening I'll cook up some lobster! It will be a lovely day.

I don't know about your Mom, but I hate to see photos of myself when I was young and hot. That certainly isn't what I see in the mirror these days. There is some strange old lady who jumps in front of me and that's all I see in the mirror. Oh well, it's been a good ride.

Love you, Scott!

My family is upstairs as we speak, cooking breakfast.

The kitchen will be destroyed, but it will be so worth it!

Your mom was so beautiful Scott! And I see the resemblance clearly, though I'd say you're a handsome version of Mom.
Kids didn't make breakfast this year, which is good, because I don't eat breakfast and always knew I had to eat it this one day.
I did receive some very lovely and special handmade books and cards and candles.
:)

CS- No champaigne? (and that other thing?)

Cheesy-- That's a fake snowball. I don't know... Arty photography at the shopping center or something...?

Steve g.-- You reminded me of another deer story... Tomorrow, man...

jeannie-- Make sure they use an oil...

Shirley-- How sweet! Yeah, there is no comparison between youth and wisdom, is there? Wise is smart, but it sure ain't nearly as pretty!

ladybronco-- Don't you dare help clean up today!

little-- Yes. Mum was a looker. I had a crush on her as a little kid... Especially when she sang...

Sweeti-- I will try to love 'em while I still got thoughts of my own...

Singleton-- I like having a really old Mum, 'cause I get to be called "you kids"...

I love that you have a scanner and you snuck the picture out. And I really enjoyed the current photo of your mom - what a terrific shot of her beyond the flowers!

Wow! Your Mom is beautiful & I just love the swimsuits of the era.
Haven't given birth and I worked all day, but would still love some chocolate & a back rub!

I'll save champagne and the other thing for older boys (and ones who are not so related to me).
